Born and raised in Metairie, Rachel Hamann Montalbano joined Athena in summer 2023.

After graduating from Archbishop Chapelle High School, Montalbano completed a bachelor of science degree in finance, with a minor in management, at the University of New Orleans. The lifelong Louisianan earned her real estate license in June 2023 after two decades in the employee benefits industry, where her number-crunching skills united with her people skills during the many years she worked in sales roles.

Montalbano has honed her work ethic over the decades, but at the same time, she appreciates the human factor in real estate. With vacation and investment properties of her own, she understands the drive to research such homes and master the details, and to improve them for others to enjoy.

She marshals the organized, meticulous approach she developed in her benefits career to aid her clients today. When not bringing to real estate the same work ethic she brought to the benefits world, Montalbano enjoys exercise and visiting the beach with her husband and two daughters. She also volunteered for twelve years — and stays in touch — with the ForeKids! Foundation, whose Zurich Classic tournament benefits children’s charities across Louisiana.
