Amanda Mitternight knows her numbers. She takes her 10+ years in accounting and helps homebuyers find a home that meets their budget, then follows through to make sure they have the right financing.
At Athena, Amanda works as a team with her sister, agent Erica Adams. The “dynamic duo” coordinate schedules to ensure one of them is always available for a client.
For Amanda, choosing a career in real estate grew out of her childhood experience – her family viewed more than 100 homes before moving from Metairie to Kenner! She earned her license soon after college, and she and her sister were agents with a New Orleans agency before joining Athena.
Amanda also knows New Orleans neighborhoods, including Metairie, Jefferson, River Ridge and her home community of Lakeview. She has firsthand experience with renovations: she and her husband did most of the renovations themselves on a Katrina-damaged home. They are now in the process of elevating the home 11 feet off the ground. Fortunately, her husband is the vice president of an HVAC company and knows construction; for Amanda, doing renovations means juggling her work as a realtor and her duties as a mom.
Amanda attended Mount Carmel Academy and studied business at LSU and University of New Orleans. She is a member of the New Orleans Metropolitan Association of Realtors. Amanda and her husband have two daughters and a son. She is active as a volunteer at her kids’ schools and is a baseball team mom.
“As an agent and a mom, I know how important it is to find the right house,” she says. “You can be sure I will devote myself 100 percent to making that dream come true.”
